Observing knitters over the past 11 years, I’ve come to learn that those of us who love the beautiful textures and colors of yarn most likely love to garden, as well. And this time of year, colors abound, both in our yarn stash and in nature! I just love it when we’re unpacking yarn, and we put all the colors together. Spectacular reds, regal blues, bright happy pinks, rich earthy greens and browns . . . it’s amazing when they all are set on the shelf. Well, the same can be said of gardens. I’m not a “serious” gardener. My pollen allergies overtake any effort to plant flower beds. So, every year I stuff the flower boxes on my deck with gorgeous annuals and watch them come together, and this past weekend, they put on a gorgeous show! The colors have harmonized perfectly, and I’m enjoying sitting on my deck every morning with a cup of coffee and colorful knitting project. Somehow things are simply better with color!
Have a colorful Summer!
