Since we opened over 11 years ago, the way we find patterns for knitting and crocheting has been completely transformed! While we still carry a wide array of printed patterns, books and magazines, the majority of our community finds patterns online. Just go onto Pinterest, look up knitting designs, and voila! You’ll find an array of knitting patterns, most of which link to Ravelry, where the patterns are available. Some are free, many are available for purchase and download, and some direct you towards the book in which the pattern is published. Or, go directly to the source (Ravelry) and find just about anything your heart desires. The pattern in the photo, a hooded cowl which was popular last Winter, was created right here in the shop. That’s Christy modeling it. We’ve started to build a “store” on Ravelry of nancy O patterns, and that particular one has been downloaded many times. It’s so exciting. If you have any nancy O patterns you’d like to see on Ravelry, let us know. I’m working to build the shop and would love your feedback. Not familiar with Ravelry? Does it overwhelm you? We’re thinking of adding a workshop to help you make the most of your online adventures. Stay tuned for more details!
